I would like to make a comment on the letter submitted by Mary Cole of Isleworth, Middlesex.
I travelled more than 500 miles to be a part of the Guitars on the Beach attempt at a vast expense.
I was at the beach from 9am till the end of day because I wanted to be part of the day.
I didn’t miss the attempt when it was brought forward, because the experience of the day, not the chance to be on TV at 5pm, was what mattered.
For the people who missed it at the earlier time, maybe they should have read the format.
All guitarists for the record attempt to be on the beach and registered by 4pm.
If they had been there they could have taken part.
I would like to also add my thanks to all the people involved as it was brilliant.
Even when it rained it just made it more memorable.
