We have posh toilets in the South Street car park in Bridport where, in winter, the doors swell and won’t close and loss of car parking – but needed.
In the East Street car park, there are fancy ideas, loss of car parking and toilets? We’ll wait and see.
Now charging for on-street parking. The locals at present still have St Michael’s Trading estate but if the planned houses come, the traders will have to find car parking.
I was told there are five car parks in town for them.
The shopkeepers are trying hard to fight the recession and keep this lovely little town buzzing but the powers that be are certainly not helping to make it attractive to visitors, which we all need.
The football ground is too far to carry your shopping – council members please try it.
