Lyme Regis Power Boat Club is hosting a National Ski Race event this weekend.
The Brit Kids category will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday with the main and support races taking place on Sunday from 3pm.
The showpiece will bring competitors from all over the country to compete in the fourth leg of the National Championships.
The Lyme Regis National is one of the selection races for the Great British team, who will compete in the World Titles ski race event in Australia this September.
The winners’ presentation will be held at the clubhouse, situated on Mon-mouth Beach, at 5.30pm on Sunday.
National ski racing is a high adrenaline event, with speeds in excess of 70mph.
The speed boats tow the skiers around a course on the water – in the main race they ski for 50 minutes plus a lap.
Pamela Evans, LRPBC committee member, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting this event again.
“If you are looking for a great spectator sport, the Cobb Wall or Monmouth Beach will offer the best views.
“There is also an official programme available from the Cobb Arms or the LRPBC, which details event information and everything you need to know about the teams who are competing.”
The race is being run by British Water Ski and Wakeboard, which is the national governing body for water skiing in Great Britain.
