A free Saturday because of a postponement gave the management team at Lyme Regis a chance to take stock on the season so far.
Team boss Stefan Taylor said they were in the middle of a massive rebuild with individuals leaving during the close season and only five players now remaining from that squad.
The Seasiders have played ten matches in the Premier Division of the Devon and Exeter League to date, mainly against leading sides, picking up three points so far from three draws.
“Rebuilding is a slow process. We knew this season in the Premier Division was going to be tough but we’re now playing a lot better,” Taylor told the News.
Next up for the Seasiders is a trip to Wellington Reserves, the team they were meant to play at Davey Fort last weekend before Storm Bert blew into the region.
Following that the club has a trip away to Feniton in the East Devon Senior Cup before homes ties with Crediton United seconds and Colyton to round of the year.
Having played more games than their rivals at the bottom of the table, Taylor's side will be hoping to pick up as many points as possible as they battle with relegation.
