Lyme Regis, playing their fifth away game of the season against top level opposition in the Premier Division of the Devon and Exeter League, went down 3-0 at second placed Feniton.
It was a pretty even first half with Lyme failing to convert the few chances that they created.
The second half was a different story.
Feniton caught The Seasiders cold and suddenly all the good work of the first half had disappeared as they went two goals behind early on.
After re-regrouping and using more substitutes, Lyme dug deep and some good defending prevented Feniton adding to their tally.
Man of the Match went to Josh Rawlins and the club has also announced the signing of two new players, Ryan Sweetman and Jacob Parsons, both from Beaminster.
“Changes were made and this stemmed the constant one-way traffic and settled the team,” manager Stefan Taylor told the News.
“Unfortunately, we were then caught on the break and soon afterwards went down to ten men when we had a player sin-binned following a collision with the goalkeeper.”
Lyme’s first team are without a fixture this Saturday.
