With all the county leagues now finished for the season Lyme Regis Bowls Club have been keeping bust with a special open day.
The club's Ben & Beryl Stephens 101 Plates (4 woods) was held on Monday, September 1, which is a slightly different type of competition.
The 101 Plates sees players score five points down to one depending on how close they are to the Jack.
A maximum individual score on one end is 14 points and only bowls within two meters are counted (measured with the stick).
The ladies final saw Mary Haseman take on Kay Honey with Haseman coming out on top.
The men's final was a much closer affair with Barry Rattenbury just edging out Paul Stoke Faires.
The day finished with a fabulous spread of food enjoyed by all courtesy of Ben Stephens.
A spokesperson for the club said: "Well done to all the competitors, Barry R behind the bar, Nicky and the kitchen ladies and especially Rom Hunt our competition secretary."
The Lyme Regis Town Councill Rollup, an annual get together with members of the town council for bowls, beers and banquet (or at least sarnies) was also held at the club last week.
The county finals will be played on September 14 and 15.
