The Lyme Regis Bowls Club has been in action this week with a mixed set of results.
In the Men's County League Championship Lyme Regis took on Bridport in what turned out to be a close encounter with Bridport just edging it with 44 shots to 43.
Rom Hunt, Alan Nabarro, Steve Pomeroy and Paul Pomeroy won their rink for Lyme 16-10, but Mick Heneghan, Simon Dowling, Paul Moffitt and Barry Rattenbury lost 13-22
Barry Driscoll, Tim Munro, Allan Weech and Carl Stephens did win the rink 14-12 but Bridport would take six points and Lyme would take 4 points.
Lyme Regis remain in fourth place in the table whilst Bridport sit seventh.
In the Men's Division West Two Lyme Regis second team claimed all ten points in a commanding display against Dorchester B.
Trevor Sherring, Dave Rolfe, Keith Barnes and Richard Cridge were dominant winning 25-8, with Trevor Allman, David Flett, Chris Haseman and Roger Gale just edging their rink 21-18
David Sarson, John Owen, John Sherring and John Maslen completed the playing with a 16-15 victory leaving Lyme with a total of 62, Dorchester B's 41.
The side remain top of the league.
In the Men's Percy Baker competition, Lyme Regis faced Dorchester, in the semi final.
In a close match Lyme won 34-31 and now play the winners of the east section at the County finals on 14/15 September.
Alan Nabarro, Richard Cridge and Barry Rattenbury won their rink 20-10, whilst Mick Heneghan, Jonne Ceserani and Steve Pomeroy lost 14-2.
Lyme Ladies were defeated by Shaftsbury in their Dorset Women's Bowls League match 44 to 26 taking just two points from the match.
Ann Allman, Chris Pomeroy, Mary Haseman and Pauline Knight won a closely fought rink 17-16, but Karen Hofen, Alex Darvill, Judith Moffitt and Sue Rowe were heavily defeated 9-28 and remain in second place in the table.
In the Edna Paisley triples competition the woman defeated Bridport 41 to 22 to claim all six points and jump above their rivals in the table and off teh bottom.
Pam Cridge, Sue Rolfe, Mary Haseman won their rink 22-8, with Tricia Boyd, Kay Honey and Avril Sherring winning 19-14.
