LYME Regis Bowls Club is gearing up for a season of Jurassic proportions.
The new campaign begins on Saturday (10am) for members wishing to have an informal roll-up before the official green opening ceremony on Saturday week.
Lyme Regis have set up some focus groups tasked with looking to the future of the club and one initiative will be four open days on Saturday 27 and Sunday, April 28 plus Saturday, May 25 and Wednesday, June 29.
The May session is part of governing body Bowls England’s ‘Bowls Big Weekend’.

All sessions will be from 10am to 3pm with individual taster sessions of approximately 30 minutes for each visiting member of the public, including 20 minutes on the green.
Refreshments will be offered and local residents are especially welcome.
The club is keeping its fingers crossed for good weather during the season with just enough rain to keep the green watered.
With only a couple of days until the outdoor season begins there is still time to enjoy a half-price membership.
Two enthusiastic new players were recently spotted on the green and are ‘roaring’ to go.
