ELMORE II 0
LYME REGIS 3
THREE first-half goals for Lyme Regis handed the Seasiders a morale-boosting 3-0 victory at bottom side Elmore Seconds in the Devon & Exeter League Premier Division.
Chris Higgs’ men are going through a transformative spell as Lyme look to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
But the Seasiders showed there is plenty of fight left in them this season, doing all the damage against the Eagles before the break.
Full-back Haydn Lewis netted his first Lyme Regis goal, before Robbie Fowler and forward Dave Bridges made it 3-0.

Lyme came under pressure from a hungry Elmore side in the second period, with Will Meech making two top-class saves to preserve his clean sheet.
And Lyme even had the luxury of blooding under-16 players Sam Merigaux and Jacob Denning during the victory.
Speaking post-match, Higgs said: “We needed it, just for a bit of morale.
“We did what we were supposed to do, went there to get a result and we’ve done that and got a clean sheet, which is nice.
“We had two under-16s playing and they definitely held their own. It’s nice they’ve done so well on the day and we’ve got some winnable games coming up.”
Lyme travel to leaders Kentisbeare on Saturday (3pm).
