FOUR golfers from Lyme Regis have raised more than £1,000 for charity after completing four rounds in one day.
Jake Richards, George Richards, Jake Collier and Will Richards walked almost 25 miles and 50,000 steps, playing 72 holes over 12 hours.
The four friends gathered to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the charity’s ‘Longest Day Golf Challenge’.
To date, the fundraising total has surpassed £1,250 with donations continuing to roll in.

Weather for the challenge varied, with a lovely crisp morning in the sunshine, changing to rain, wind and fog by lunchtime.
Friends and family gathered at various times to show their support, provide food and drinks and walk the course with the team, as well as members wishing them well throughout the day.
Each member of the team has been affected by friends or family suffering with cancer and wanted to take on this challenge to raise money for a charity that is close to all their hearts.
The team are all so grateful for the support throughout, from fundraising to moral support.
The day would not have been feasible without the kindness of Lyme Regis Golf Club, the staff and members who were brilliant and the course was in pristine condition.
