ROB Fellingham has confirmed his intention to step away from the Lyme Regis captaincy in 2023/24.
Appointed as interim manager following the departure of Julien Simier in February, Fellingham went on to manage 11 league games.
He took victories in three, also claiming two draws among six losses as Lyme ended the Devon & Exeter League Premier Division season in seventh place behind winners Alphington.
Speaking to the Bridport & Lyme Regis News, Fellingham explained his decision not to seek full-time possession of the captain’s armband in 2023/24.
He said: “I won’t be doing it next season, it’s for personal reasons.

“I won’t have time to give it what it needs, which is a lot. I told the committee and they were great and fully understood.
“There will be a search for a new manager and Wallace Blackmore, ressies’ manager, is also stepping down for personal reasons, so we’re looking for two managers.”
Lyme Regis welcome applications and are looking to make an appointment before pre-season starts.
