DAVID Meehan has taken over as the new Commodore at Lyme Regis Sailing Club.
Meehan replaced Rob Wiscombe in the role following the club's AGM on Saturday, attended by 80 members.
During the meeting, presentations from the sailing and youth sections of the club celebrated a successful season.
Membership has increased, demand for youth training is higher than ever, members have cruised the Mediterranean and crossed the North Sea.

The main event was the Phantom Nationals, acclaimed by the class as a memorable championships.
The 2023 World Championships for the OK Class was the main item, with an updating report from chairman Dave Beer encouraging volunteers to join the organising team.
Retiring Commodore Wiscombe ended with thanks to key club members, especially his wife who had served as his Vice-Commodore.
Past Commodore Jeremy Wallace thanked Rob and Margaret and presented them with an engraved present.
Stepping in, Meehan told members that he appreciated the long history of Lyme Regis Sailing Club and was determined to uphold its traditions and reputation while facing challenging conditions.
Meehan currently has a cruiser in Lyme Harbour and another presently in Corsica. He brings a wealth of sailing and management experience to the role of Commodore.
