LYME Regis Golf Club's ladies have continued to be busy throughout July – including an inventive fancy dress Lady Captain's Day.
Following on from her ladies club championship win, Marie Long represented Lyme Regis alongside Rosie Jackman and Jane Dixon in the semi-final of the Humphreys Bowl, held at Broadstone Golf Club.
Missing their strongest player Melissa McMahon through injury, Lyme lost to Ferndown Ladies.
With the competitive league matches in the inter-club and woods competitions now completed the ladies' friendly matches have started and the first played at home against Bulbury Woods resulted in a draw.

With a mix of high and low handicaps in the teams, all of our ladies are encouraged to sign up for these fixtures.
Scoring in the Vi Crow Trophy on July was outstanding with four ladies finishing on 38 stableford points and three ladies on 37 points.
The winner, Judith Williams, was decided on countback. All entry fees are donated to a cancer charity, as stipulated by Vi, and this year proceeds will be sent to the Breast Cancer Now charity.
Lady Captain's Day was organised by captain Mary Minter on the theme of memorable advertising slogans.
With 47 ladies playing in fancy dress reflecting the theme of the day, the Texas Scramble winners were Rosie Jackman, Sarah Jarvis and Irene Fairley.
Fine weather, a tasty late lunch and great atmosphere created a memorable day enjoyed by all.
