LYME Regis Seconds beat their Cheriton Fitzpaine counterparts 3-1 to keep up their tilt for promotion in Devon & Exeter League Division Seven.
Sam Jones, Pete Peacock and Rikki Sargent were all on the scoresheet for the Seasiders.
Like their counterparts, They also sit just one point off a promotion spot as the season nears its climax.
Lyme take on Elmore Seconds on Saturday (3pm) knowing a win will keep them challenging for that all-important third place spot.
Lyme Regis' first team will hope their week off will give them an added boost as they continue their promotion push from Devon & Exeter League Division Two against Newtown Seconds (3pm).
They sit in fifth position, just one point off third-placed Exmouth Town Seconds who occupy the last promotion spot.
The Seasiders will be in confident mood having put nine past Culm United in their previous fixture and face a side who also languish in the bottom half of the table.
Newtown Seconds lost to top-of-the-table side Henry’s Cronies last weekend but they had won their last two fixtures by at least two goals.
Beaminster ended a their two-game losing run with a 2-1 win over second-from-bottom Forton Rangers in the Perry Street League Premier Division.
They faced a trip to Netherbury last night looking to close the gap on second-placed Shepton Beauchamp.
Beaminster are back at home on Saturday as they take on Crewkerne Town (3pm).
