SIMON Smyth was the big winner as Charmouth FC marked the end of the season with a presentation night at Hunters Lodge, near Axminster.
The Robins finished rock bottom in Perry Street League Division One to make it back-to-back relegations, having notched just four victories and 13 points from 20 matches.
But there still were plenty of achievements to recognise, with Smyth taking home both the players’ player and manager’s player of the year accolades.
Other recipients were Mike Franklin (committee’s player), Mark Smith (clubman), boss Nick Pomeroy (spooner award) and Paul Grinter, who collected the Dave Smith Memorial Trophy for young player of the year, which was presented by Tom West.
