STOKE ABBOTT chaser Cobreces turned in a game performance to finish eighth in the Christie's Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup at the Cheltenham Festival on Friday.
The nine-year-old bay gelding, trained by Lucia and David Borradaile, was in touch for most of the race before Drombeag and Whyso Mayo began to turn the screw at the 13th fence.
Richard Barber's strongly fancied Patches, who went to post as the 7-1 second favourite, fell at the ninth fence.
