TREVOR Senior has warned his side they will need to “hit the ground running” in the Toolstation Western Premier Division after being pitted against the likes of Bishop Sutton and reigning champions Larkhall Athletic in the opening month of the campaign.

Bridport received their provisional list of fixtures earlier this week and will begin the forthcoming term with a game against Corsham Town at St Mary’s Field on August 13 before travelling to Dawlish Town just three days later.

Senior’s men will then be in FA Cup action on August 20 before completing the month with a home clash against Bishop Sutton (August 23) and a trip to Larkhall (August 27). The Bees’ boss said: “It’s a pretty tough start with three of our first four league games being against teams that finished in the top six last season.

“Dawlish finished sixth, Bishop Sutton came fifth and of course Larkhall won the title so there is no doubt that we are going to have work hard in pre-season to ensure we hit the ground running.”
