Bridport Barracudas performed brilliantly to secure second place in the first round of the Jurassic League at Yeovilton.
All swimmers turned in excellent displays, with 38 personal bests obtained – as well as five club records by Rebecca Beal, Yasmin Chick, Matt Cracknell, Clare Scarborough and Elena Wood.
An abundance of first-place positions were achieved from the likes of Beal, Yasmin Chick, Cracknell, Dan Dew, David McLaren, Zoe Robert-son, John Brown, Ben Irish, Jordan Chick and Jonathon Greenwood.
Joining them at the top of the podium were team-mates Grace Hewett, Chloe Diment, Ella Kershaw, Wood, Will Clarke, Dan Elliott, Josh Craven, Nat Wormleighton, Sophie Dawe and Scarborough Second place positions were awarded to Dawe, Greenwood, Yasmin Chick, Hewett, Tom Roberts-Wray, Wood and Cra-cknell.
Hewett, Wormleighton, Rob-ertson, Roberts-Wray, Dawe, Holly Cooper, Maisie Amos, Greenwood, Brown and Scar-borough bagged themselves third-place finishes.
Newly-appointed head coach Tina Dawe said: “I was extremely pleased with the 100 per cent effort that all the swimmers made and I am looking forward to seeing a repeat performance in the second round next month.”
