BRIDPORT manager Chris Herbst has his sight set on cup glory this weekend as his team make the long trip to Cornwall.
Herbst's side were left frustrated after their crucial league clash with Stoke Gabriel & Torbay Police was postponed last weekend due to the heavy rain.
Failing floodlights during training on Tuesday has also made the preparation for Saturday's game hardly ideal.
Storm Bert may have denied the Bees the chance to close the gap on their playoff hunting rivals but now Herbst is focused on taking the club deep into the cup.
His side face Newquay who sit second in the western division and the Bees boss knows it will not be an easy game but is confident his side can put their name in the hat for the next round.
Speaking ahead of the game he said: "The last weekend was frustrating but it is something we can't help.
"The lights gave away at our training pitch in Beaminster on Tuesday so it has been a bit of a hard week.
"But we are looking forward to the Newquay game.
"The last time we went there they played well and we know they are unbeaten at home and doing well.
"They have a decent set up down there and it will be a decent game - I just hope it stays on as you don't know what the weather might do at the moment."
The postponement last weekend may have stifled the Bees momentum after turning their form around but Herbst is confident of victory at the weeknd.
The club are currently three games unbeaten, having won two of those games and continuing in the cup is a priority for the club this season.
Herbst added: "We are going well and we have a strong team this weekend.
"We want to go far in the this cup and the senior cup, to the end if possible and in the league we just need to close the gap on Stoke, that's why the game being cancelled was frustrating.
"If we beat them we can put some real pressure on them.
"After the Newquay game wwe have a couple of home games and then Honiton away, so we want to finish the year well and start the new year on the front foot."
In terms of team news, George Calverley is missing as is Darren Lock is absent through work commitments.
Isaac House is close to a return from a back injury but will miss the game and is expected to feature for the reserves next week.
Ryan Gall returns to the squad after returning to match fitness and Joe Charles is a doubt but should be available for the crunch tie.
