The management team at Uplyme FC has paid tribute to the contribution made by brothers Jamie and Ollie Gunstone who have recently left the club.
Jamie, a striker, who hit twelve goals in six league appearances, and Ollie, who has been in fine form in goal, have decided to play nearer their home in Taunton.
“They will both be sorely missed. Goalkeepers are always sought after and we would welcome any interested ‘cats’ to get in touch,” assistant manager Peter Bandamer told the News.
On the season so far Bandamer went on, “Our Reserves have struggled for consistency this season but the Firsts are currently on a roll with four straight wins in Division Four of the Devon and Exeter League.”
“They are finally coming into the kind of form that the management were expecting from such a strong squad of players,” he added.
On Saturday, Uplyme make the short trip to play Colyton Reserves. Kick off is at 2.15 p.m.
