Bridport Development 8
Allendale Reserves 2
Bridport's Development team made it three league wins from three as they remain in the hunt for second place.
The Bees got off to bad start as they went one goal behind but Kieran Coombs immediately equalised, smashing the ball into the roof of the net.
The hosts were soon in front after some good link up play between Coombs and Jake Childs, allowing the latter to score.
Brad Wilkinson, Levi Phillips, Ali Kamara, Christian Langdon and a second from Coombs ensured that the Bees went into the break with a dominant 7-1 scoreline.
With the result sealed Bridport rang the changes on the hour mark with four subs, one having been made at half time.
Bridport keeper Jed Holt wiped out an attacked in the box on 61 mins resulting in a spot kick, but made amends saving the resulting kick.
Allendale did pull one back on 75 mins, a free kick from close range leaving the keeper no chance.
Bridport then wrapped up the win with an emphatic finish from Ollie Hoole, making his return from injury.
Manager Martin Phillips said: “it was a good result and moves us to within two points of second who we face next week at home in a crucial match."
