Okehampton Argyle: 3
Bridport FC: 1
Bridport suffered their third straight defeat in the league, with a 3-1 loss away to Okehampton Argyle last weekend.
The visitors came straight out the blocks in the opening minute and won a free kick after Will Gape was felled.
Riley Weedon had a chance to take the lead for the away side, but the effort was straight into the grateful gloves of the goalkeeper.
Argyle were working hard to build an attack and had their first real chance after 12 minutes, but Scadding did well to make the save. Pressure was mounting, and Argyle had the chance to open the scoring from a Bees defensive error but again the home side held their line.
A tense period of the game saw that neither real chance for either side, apart from the odd free kick in the final third.
In the 28th minute, the Bees nearly scored from an own goal following a corner, but Argyle did well to keep their calm and clear away the danger.
It finished goalless at the end of the first half, but Okehampton took the lead after the first minute of the second period, and doubled their lead two minutes later.
Bridport tried to halve Okehampton’s lead from a dangerous looking free kick with half an hour of the game still to play. Harley Brook struck the set piece, but again it was straight into the keeper.

A minute later, the Bees found their goal, through Will Gape.
Okehampton were pressing for a third through a string of attacking corners, one of which saw a headed chance sail over the crossbar. Frustrations from the home side boiled over, with Argyle manager picking up a yellow card shortly after the missed chance.
Fred Parsons tried to grab an equaliser, but his effort cleared the crossbar after 72 minutes.
With 15 minutes left on the clock, Okehampton scored their third, making the most of some poor defending to virtually secure all three points.
A trio of changes were made by the Bridport bench with 10 minutes left, and it looked as though it could have paid dividends with the side pushing for attack after attack on the Argyle goal.
Substitute Kieran Coombs got close in added time but again, his effort was saved, and after a dramatic final few moments, the referee blew his whistle.
The result is Bridport’s third loss in a row following 2-0 back-to-back home defeats against Hamble Club and Cullompton Rangers.
