Bridport Reserves were defeated by Hamworthy Recreation Reserves 4-1 at Magna Road on Saturday.
The Bees remain on the cusp of the relegation zone as Murray legg's side slumped to their eighth defeat of the season.
Bryce Banfield opened the scoring for the hosts in the 13th minute and the hosts almost made it 2-0 before the break but for the goalkeeping heroics of Archie Kershaw.
The Bees keeper was hand to deny Curtis Lane who was through one-on-one with the Bees keeper.
Bridport would concede a second though in the 54th minute as Banfield doubled his tally for the afternoon.
At 2-0, hamworthy were comfortably in control of the tie and the result did not look in doubt as they continued their own good run of form.
for Bridport it means they stay 14th, just two points off bottom side Hamworthy United Reserves who have five points in 16th place.
