Bridport Ladies made it four wins from four to stay top of the Somerset County Women's League.

Street Ladies controlled much of the possession during the first half, but Bridport Ladies resilience paid off.

In the 15th minute, Aleeshea Rowland found space to break through Street's defense. The Street keeper rushed out but missed the ball and clipped Rowland’s right leg.

Despite this, no penalty was awarded, and the game moved on.

Bridport’s breakthrough came in the 36th minute when Lauren Kick delivered a fantastic free kick into the box, with Rowland heading home.

Five minutes later and Bridport extended their lead as Clare Darby latched onto to a through ball from  Sophie Northover  to make it 2-0 before the break.

The second half turned into a hard-fought midfield battle, with Street fighting back.

Their persistence paid off around the 60-minute mark, when loose marking allowed them to string together three quick passes from a free kick, resulting in a well-finished goal from their winger, narrowing the score to 2-1.

With eight minutes to go, Bridport sealed the win as Rowland doubled her tally for the day as she forced Street's keeper into an error after some good pressing.

Bridport walked away 3-1 winners, securing their fourth win in four matches.

While there were moments when Street looked more comfortable, Bridport's clinical finishing and strong defensive efforts ultimately secured the victory leaving them three points clear at the top of Division Two.
