BRIDPORT get their Izuku FA Vase campaign underway this weekend with a trip into the New Forest to face Brockenhurst.
Chris Herbst side came in to the game against the Wessex League Premier side having put together a string of good results.
The Bees are unbeaten in their last four games but will find it 'tough' when they come against the Badgers in the second qualifying round of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the game, Herbst said: "It will be a very tough game, a bit like last year when we played Sherborne in the Dorset Senior Cup.
"But I back my players to match them, but we will need to be at our best like we were on Saturday - but I am positive about it.
"Everyone will have to be at it, but you want to play in these type of games so the players will be jumping at the chance to play."
Last year the Bees were knocked out by Hamble Club in a 3-2 defeat in the first qualifying round, but have already gone one better thanks to a bye in this year's competition.
When asked about how well the team can do this season, Herbst added: "Yeah, we want to go far in everything.
"When you are watching teams go far into the competition, you think, 'I want to be part of that'.
In terms of team news, Sol Ayunga and Riley Weedon are doubtful, but the Bees coach believes they 'should be okay'.
Darren Lock will be serving the second of his three game ban, whilst George Calverley will miss the game after picking up two yellow cards in the win over Newton Abbot Spurs.
