BRIDPORT manager Chris Herbst is expecting 'a real battle' when his side come against Newton Abbot Spurs on Saturday (September 14).
The Bees travel to Devon in the South West Peninsula League where they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games.
However, it will not be easy for Herbst and his players who face a very much in form Spurs side.
Saturday's opposition are still unbeaten this season having won five and drawn one of their opening six games.
Callum Noyce will also be one player the Bees will have to look out for with the striker netting five goals in six appearances this season.
Speaking ahead of the tie, he said: Looking ahead to next Saturday, we’ve got a tough one away at Newton Abbot Spurs.
"They’re going well this season, and every time we’ve faced them, it’s been a real battle. We’re expecting more of the same, but we’re looking forward to the challenge."
Herbst has been left frustatrted with how teh team have started the season and one area he believes teh team can improve on is scoring more goals.
He added: "Our finishing in front of goal is an area of real concern right now.
"It’s something we’re working hard on, and we’ll continue to put in the effort until we get it right.
"It’s frustrating because the team is putting in the work and creating the chances; we just need to be more clinical."
Team news for the weekend sees Dan Baggs return from injury but the Bees will be without James Cox and Will Gape for the game.
Kick off at The Recreation Ground is at 3pm on Saturday, September 14.
