Bridport take on local rivals Honiton in the South West Peninsula League at St Mary's on Saturday (3pm).
Chris Herbst's side have not had the best start to their season so far, and sit midtable after six games, one point behind the Hippos in 11th place.
The Bees will be buoyed from last weekend's positive result though after they secured their first three points of the season after defeating Bovey Tracey 4-0 at home.
Bridport seemed to have stopped the rot after initially losing their first four games of the campaign but are now unbeaten in two having also drawn with league leaders Cullompton.
Honiton though have three games in hand and their league position does not reflect the form the team are currently in.
This week's opposition have yet to lose after registering two draws and a 2-1 win over seventh placed Crediton in their last match.
Chris Herbst is all too aware of the will the threat the Hippos will pose when they visit St Mary's this weekend and has warned his team against complacency.
Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "As we look ahead to Saturday’s home game against Honiton Town, we know it’s going to be another tough test.
"The win against Bovey Tracey has given us a boost, but we need to stay focused and build on that momentum.
"The boys are prepared for the challenge, and with the right mindset, I’m confident we can put in another strong performance."
In terms of team news, Herbst will be needing to make a couple of late calls on fitness.
Dan Baggs may have scored in the win against Bovey, but the defender was forced off in the first half with a knock and will be assessed ahead of the game.
Another player that was injured in the win last weekend was striker Riley Weedon, but the Bees joint top goal scorer this season has been ruled out of the weekend's clash.
Herbst also confirmed that Sol Ayunga is a doubt for the game which means Stef Stavrianos could come into the starting line up.
One good bit of news is that Jordan Scadding will return after missing last weekend's game.
