HOLT UNITED 4
BRIDPORT RESERVES 0
Bridport reserves were well beaten in their Dorset Premier League clash against Holt United at Petersham Lane.
The Bees have had not had the greatest of starts to the season having only picked up one win from their opening six games.
Murray Legg's side now sit in 13th place, four points off the drop zone after the latest defeat.
The home side form Wimborne started the match well and were in control for much of the early exchanges.
Despite being in control, a well organised Bridport side was keeping the Bulls at bay, that was until Sam Bennett opened the scoring after finishing well from a pass from Sonny Wilkinson on 14 minutes.
The Bees came back well after the goal, but Holt struck twice more before half time whistle though Ali Garard who bagged himself two goals before the break leaving Legg's side a mountain to climb in the second half.
Bridport did start well after the restart as they looked to apply pressure on Holt but, despite their endeavours, they were unable to get on the score sheet.
The home side continued to pose a threat and looked dangerous and they wrapped up the points after Ollie Marsh set up Bennett for his second of the afternoon in the 85th minute.
