Bridport Reserves were well beaten in their Dorset Premier League clash with Balti Sports 5-2.
The Bees tasted defeat for the second time this season after an action packed game at Weymouth College Sports Centre.
Balti took advantage of individual errors from the Bees as they raced into a three goal lead.
However, Bridport came back to 3-2 before the break thanks to a strike from the edge of the area by Gareth Will, and a converted penalty by Josh Baker brought the Bees back into contention.
Bridport had a couple of golden opportunities to equalise but were unable to take them prior to half time.
The anticipated come back from Bridport in the second half never materialised though, and Balti where able to pull away.
Sports caught the Bees sleeping with another long ball and the game was over by the time the home side added their fifth of the evening.
The loss leaves the reserve team with just two points from their opening four games and two places above the relegation zone.
Next up for the Bees is the visit of Wimborne Town Reserves to St Mary's on Saturday, August 17 in a 3pm kick off.
