Bridport manager Chris Herbst has said 'sloppy' defending cost his side a win against Cullompton on Tuesday night.
The Bees drew 2-2 with The Cully in the South West Peninsula League earning their first point of the season.
However, Herbst feels it was two points dropped rather than a point gained after a strong performance from his side.
Speaking to The News, he said: "We should have won the game but we did get a point on the board.
"In the first half we were absolutely brilliant but if I was being picky we could have scored a couple more and put the game to bed.
"We need the points on the board and we need to start winning and I am positive on how we played.
"But we have to put these games to bed - we were really need to turn performances into wins.
Bridport led twice during the match and Herbst was frustrated int he manner in which both goals were conceded.
He added: The free kick was stuck into the top bracket so I couldn't argue with it but that's been are luck
"It wasn't a lapse of concentration it was just we gave one sloppy ball away and a sloppy foul away and both times we have been done for it - that's our luck at the minute
"Hopefully we can sort those things out and we should be fine everyone is positive because the performances are there, just not the results."
The Bees next game is not until August 31 when Bovey Tracey visit St Mary's and Herbst is looking to take advantage of the mini break.
He said: "I think it will do us well.
"We can train and a few people will be able to come back, so I am keen to get into training and prepare for the next game which will be a really tough one."
