Bridport lost their fourth game on the bounce after another disappointing defeat - this time away to Elburton Villa on Saturday, August 17.
Despite taking the lead through Riley Weedon, the Bees were unable to take advantage of their 1-0 lead going into the break.
Second half goals from Jordan Rundle and James Alexander secured the win for the home side, with Weedon rueing a missed opportunity, as he failed to score from the spot with the scores level at 1-1.
The loss followed on from defeats against Teignmouth, Sidmouth and Torrington, meaning the west Dorset club went into the game perilously close to the foot of the table.
The match began in a frantic, end-to-end fashion with little quality football on display in what was a feisty affair at Haye Road.
After ten minutes into the game, the Bees settled into the game and began creating chances though.
The first of which fell to Solomon Ayunga but the striker was unable to get his shot on target.
Joe Charles created an opportunity for Weedon, but the striker was tackled before he was able to get off a shot off at goal.
Weedon then had another chance shortly after, but his tame strike failed to trouble the Elburton keeper.
The home side had a glorious opportunity to level the score but their striker failed to get his shot goal bound.
The Bees capitalised on this wasted opportunity and took the lead through Weedon on the stroke of half time.
Charles provided a superb assist which was met by the head of the striker to nod home in added time of the first half.
Just after the restart, Chris Herbst side would find themselves pegged back with Elburton quickly equalising through Jordan Rundle.
Weedon then had a chance to double his tally for the day and put his side back in front from the penalty spot, but the Elburton keeper made a crucial save on the hour mark.
The home side took advantage of this missed opportunity and ultimately secured the victory through Jack Alexander with just 12 minutes left on the clock.
