Bridport take on Elburton Villa in the South West Peninsula league this Saturday (3pm).
The Bees visit Haye Road this weekend looking for their first points of the new season.
Last time out Chris Herbst's side suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Torrington, with defeats to Sidmouth (3-2) and a loss to Teignmouth (2-0) on the opening day making for a pretty lacklustre start to the campaign.
Having finished fourth last season, Herbst's side were looking to build on that this season but with such a poor start, the Bees boss says things 'have go to get better'.
Speaking to The News ahead of the tie, he said: "Elburton will be a tough game there is no doubt about it.
"They are a good side and have made some good signings.
"But we have got to turn up and take our chances, it would be good to get an early goal and settle the side down.
"It will be a gritty game and very tough.
"They defend really well as a unit and are difficult to break down so we will have to take our chances.
"They are not quite a bogey but we have not beaten them yet so we know what we are going to be up against and it should be a good game."
Herbst also added that there are no injury concerns going into the game stating he has 'pretty much a full side' for the clash.
