BRIDPORT will play Weymouth in an additional friendly after the cancellation of their fixture with Dorchester Sports.
The Terras are not expected to bring a full-strength side to St Mary’s Field for the game, scheduled for Wednesday, July 24 (7.30pm).
This is due to Weymouth’s first team playing a friendly at home to Eastleigh just 24 hours prior.
But the fixture is nevertheless a boost for the Bees, who last hosted Weymouth in 2022 when the Terras won 10-0 in friendly action.

Bridport hope the arrangement is the beginning of closer ties between the clubs, forged by new football director David Richardson.
Speaking to the Bridport News, Bees’ boss Chris Herbst said: “We’ve managed to get a game with a mixed Weymouth team on Wednesday, so we’ve still got three more friendlies.
“David (Richardson, football director) knows Mark Molelsey, he got in contact and he’s been chatting to Franklyn (Clarke, under-23 manager).
“They’re going to bring their 23s and trialists over. He wanted to get that link in, so it’s good.
“And, we’ll hopefully get a few down watching as well, which is a good money-spinner for the club.”
