LADIES at Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club played for their Championship, with Linda Alexander retaining her title.
Players competed for the Scratch Cup (gross) and Green Salver (best nett).
After two closely-fought rounds the eventual winner was Alexander (17.1) with a gross 186, successfully defending her title.
The Green Salver was won by Julia Norman (28.3) with 145.
The ladies also engaged in an entertaining edition of Midsummer Madness, with Ruth Donovan mastering the chaos to take victory.

Comprised of an individual stableford with a shotgun start at 7am, the scoring was close but Donovan (18.8) won with 37 points and was presented with the trophy by Sue Winkle, lady captain.
Elsewhere, in beautiful sunny conditions with a very light breeze 42 men’s seniors took to the course to compete in a team Bowmaker match.
The well-deserved winners with a team score of 78 points were Richard Fox, Peter Frampton and Tony Burt.
Earlier in the week, the seniors played in their annual summer match against the Bridport Ladies.
The format is four ball, better ball and 10 four-balls competed.
Despite the generous handicaps enjoyed by the ladies, the men just edged it by half a point winning 5.5-4.5.
