MIKE Savage took one of the most prized titles at Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club when winning the prestigious Champions of Champions event.
Savage showcased remarkable skill and sportsmanship, culminating in a thrilling victory after amassing an impressive score of 37 points.
Sharing the limelight, Ed Cary and Robert Hawes secured second position with equally commendable scores of 36.
Savage expressed his satisfaction, praising the event's organisation and the excellent condition of the course despite recent weather challenges.

He extended gratitude to the club staff for their dedication to maintaining all 18 main greens and keeping the entire course operational.
Spike Spiller, club captain, echoed Savage's sentiments, extending warm appreciation to everyone present and welcoming Twilights to the club's culinary landscape.
The excitement continued with a thrilling two-person team game where Stableford points were multiplied.
Savage, continuing his stellar performance, partnered with Spiller, clinching the second position with an outstanding combined score of 74 points.
Robin Taylor and Martin Horton secured the third spot, closely followed by Dave Boggis and Dangerous Austin in fourth place.
However, the pinnacle of excellence belonged to George Wyrill and Riley Weedon, whose remarkable score of 80 points earned them the championship title.
Geoff Joy, club chairman, extended gratitude to all participants for making the weekend festivities a resounding success.
He commended the staff for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the course in great condition and enthusiastically welcomed Twilights, encouraging the public to experience the club's exceptional facilities.

In the club’s senior men’s section, 36 players took to the course for the third round of the Winter Shield.
The weather was cloudy but dry with very little breeze therefore some good scores were achieved. In fact, nine players recorded a hole in two.
In Division One, David Barclay (21) took the honours with 40 points just beating Captain Alan Scutt (19) with 39 and vice-captain Jonathan Kirton (18) also with 39 points.
In Division Two, Brian Austin (24) excelled with a magnificent 44 points beating David Boggis (26) into second place with 40 points ahead of Kevin Blackman (26) in third place with 39 points.
The fourth and final round is later this month before the overall winner is declared.
