STURMINSTER NEWTON RES 0
BEAMINSTER 3
BEAMINSTER stormed into the semi-finals of the Dorset Intermediate Cup following a 3-0 victory over Sturminster Newton United Reserves at Barnetts Field.
Isaac House rewarded the Rainbows for a bright start on 30 minutes, cutting in and firing into the bottom corner from 18 yards out.
Beaminster needed only five more minutes to double their lead as Paul Hill broke up a Sturminster counter on the edge of his own area.
Hill dribbled past three players before supplying Jacob Parsons who drilled a fine low shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Beaminster threw everything at the Cherries in the second half in search of a killer third goal.
House was twice denied by the home keeper, who also tipped over Robin Jones’ 25-yard dipping volley. Charlie Pomeroy was denied by another fine stop after running clean through.
Jacob Parsons and Kieran McAllister headed narrowly wide and Jake Rowland fired off target as the Rainbows were frustrated.
However, they finally put the game to bed when Jones completed a one-two with Parsons before placing home.
Sturminster did not go down without a fight, testing the concentration of Jonathan Gudge who made two smart saves with his feet.
Beaminster manager Murray Legg said: “The starting XI all put in nine or 10 out of 10 performances this week.
“We played some good football and created a number of good opportunities. The defence, led by the ever-consistent Ryan Sweetman, were really solid and composed, playing out on a number of occasions.
“All the bench made useful contributions. It was an all-round good display from the squad. Great to have Richie Runyard back after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury.
“The challenge for this side now is to find some consistency in the league in the build up to the semi-final in March.”
Beaminster will play either Mere, Maiden Newton or Ridgeway in the semi-finals.
Elsewhere, Beaminster Reserves beat Witchampton Reserves 1-0 in Dorset League Division Five.
