BRIDPORT Amateur Boxing Club is gearing up for its popular annual show night at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park on Saturday.
Doors open at 6pm with the first bout on the card beginning at 7.30pm on a night containing some 16 match-ups.
The healthy number of bouts feature Bridport fighters and contestants from as far as Land’s End and Coventry.

Southampton’s Gold Ring will also be in attendance, along with Bristol’s Downend, Newquay and Truro plus a host of local clubs from Dorset.
Event organiser Alan Slaney told the Bridport News: “It’s looking quite good, actually.
"We’ve got some really top-class boys coming and I’m chuffed about that. It’s always nice to see those top-class boxers.”
However, Slaney revealed winter illness and injuries has affected the Bridport camp’s preparations, decreasing the number of fighters set to participate.
He added: “We’ve got a bit of flu and goodness knows what else in the gym.
“Instead of having 15 Bridport boys on, we’re only going to have about four or five. It’s not only that, it’s injuries as well.
“We’ll still have the 16 bouts, my mates have been marvellous, they’ve put themselves out to help me.”
