RIGHT-BACK Dane James will be a “great addition” to the Beaminster squad, manager Murray Legg insists.
Ex-Weymouth and Verwood defender James has signed on dual registration terms from Bridport after finding his game time limited with the Bees.
Bridport boss Chris Herbst and reserves manager Adam Herring are understood to have waived the Rainbows’ seven-day approach with 14 senior players missing for Beaminster’s 6-1 defeat at Mere on Saturday.
James made his debut in the Dorset League Division One game and Legg is convinced the full-back can have a big impact at the Memorial Ground.
He told the Bridport News: “Dane’s abilities are highly regarded amongst our squad.

“He can be a great addition and help us in our league and cup campaign this season.
“He had a great debut and a committed Dane could become a very important player for us.
“We had been talking in the summer and then he approached me last week about coming to train.
“He will remain dual-registered with Bridport but he hasn’t appeared for them this season. Chris and Adam were helpful and we are all keen to get him back playing football and enjoying it.”
Beaminster visit Wareham Rangers in league action on Saturday (3pm).
