WEST Bay Sea Angling Club's 'fish of the quarter' award went to a deserving winner who broke a 24-year-old club record.
Fighting off competition from fellow members fishing between July and September, Aaron Chambers claimed a humongous 2.976kg brill, handing him a score of 201.95%
Chambers caught the stunning haul in mid-September out from Portland on boat Fins Up.
He smashed the record that had stood since 1999 and collected a £30 Angling Centre voucher for his efforts.
Club vice president and secretary Richard 'Tiny' Daw said: "It's so lovely to see a junior such as Aaron catching a great fish and breaking a club record that has stood for 24 years.
"Aaron really enjoys his fishing but he also enjoys passing his knowledge on to other people.
"Aaron sometimes helps out on Fins Up and he also works in the Angling Centre at West Bay, so if you need any advice pop in and see him."
