ALISKA Andrews won the annual Bridport Carnival Crabbing Competition, pinching the trophy from 33 other entrants.
The 34 competitors signed on to fish the event in a bid to see who could catch the heaviest of five crabs.
There were prizes up for grabs for the under-16 winner, the over-16 winner and a trophy for the overall winner on the day.
All but one competitor came back to the weigh-in with some crabs which, after weighing, were safely returned to West Bay Harbour.
Sweeping the board with a weight of 963g was Andrews who won a new rod and reel with a float setup plus the winners trophies in the overall and under-16 category in addition to a voucher from Longs Fish & Chips and Palmers Brewery.
The over-16 winner was Alexa Clarke with a weight of 480g, also securing her a rod, reel and float setup.
West Bay Sea Angling Club, who hosted the event, would like to thank prize sponsors Longs Fish & Chips and Palmers Brewery for the vouchers plus Richard "Tiny" Daw who donated both rods, reels and the trophy.
