CATTISTOCK & SYMENE 82 (3pts) lost to POOLE TOWN 341-6 (20pts) by 259 runs
CATTISTOCK & Symene suffered a 259-run demolition at the hands of Wessex Internet Dorset Premier League holders Poole Town.
After winning the toss and fielding first, the Foxes were bludgeoned to all parts as Badrul Alam struck a delightful 129 from 120 balls, including 13 fours and seven sixes.
Scott Bellamy added 52, while Darren van Niekerk thumped 48 in 25 balls, hitting seven boundaries and a six.
Mitchell Wilson notched 17 in nine balls but the most damning statistic of a woeful bowling performance was the absurd 72 extras afforded to Poole in their 341-6, with Ollie Legg taking a respectable 2-50 given the circumstances.

In reply, the Foxes folded to 82 all out in exactly 13 overs as Wilson in particular ran riot.
The paceman snared a stunning 7-27 from his seven overs, backed up by 3-34 by Josiah Edy.
Poole’s extras count of 32 was equally poor given the paucity of overs bowled, while only Steve Tucker (18) and Legg (13) made it to double figures on a dismal day.
Tucker’s men next face Christchurch in a huge bottom-of-the-table clash on Saturday (1pm).
Cattistock & Symene Seconds lost to Kingston Lacy by 68 runs in County Division Three, while the Foxes’ third team lost by two wickets at Wareham in Division Five.
