CATTISTOCK & SYMENE 136 (4pts) lost to BERE REGIS 137-4 (20pts) by six wickets
CATTISTOCK & Symene skipper Steve Tucker stressed the need for the Foxes to “reset” after their six-wicket loss to Bere Regis.
On a challenging pitch at Cattistock, Tucker scored a half-century but his departure saw the hosts slip from 110-4 to 136 all out.
And Bere knocked off the runs, despite a late brace of wickets for Robin Jones (3-31), with relative ease as Cam Robertson struck 65 on a misbehaving surface.
Speaking to the Bridport News, Tucker said: “We knew this weekend would be difficult with such poor availability, but we should have had enough in our team to post a much more competitive score.

“Get to 180 plus and it would have been a challenging chase for Bere, especially on the pitch this week.
"With the ball, we showed good fight. Our fielding is still not up to the standard we expect from ourselves.
“We dropped Robertson just after the tea break which could have proved a big turning point for us in applying some pressure.
“Jonesy grabbed us an extra point late on and we need to now reset and look ahead at some winnable games coming up."
Cattistock & Symene round off the first half of their Wessex Internet Dorset Premier League season with a trip to Martinstown, in a battle of eighth hosts ninth.
Tucker added: “We will be making a fair few changes this weekend to freshen things up.
“It should be an even match up, they have started finding ways to win games in recent weeks.
“Martinstown are a team we play regularly and know well. They have some very useful top order batters that we will need to be wary of, though I am sure they'll be saying the same thing about us.
"These next three games for us are massive in how we set up the back end of the season. Martinstown, Blandford, Sherborne, all teams around us in the table."
CATTISTOCK & SYMENE II 113-4 (20pts) beat ABBOTSBURY 111 (4pts) by six wickets
CATTISTOCK & Symene Seconds earned a comfortable six-wicket win over local rivals Abbotsbury in County Division Three.
This was despite the omission of captain Reuben Kingston as the return of Sam Challis, Luke Robertson, Harry Angel and Sam Good strengthened the Foxes.
Abbotsbury batted first and were immediately pinned back by a typically economical opening burst from Bradley Wilkinson.
The pressure he exerted paid dividends as he dismissed the top three cheaply to leave the visitors reeling at 59-4.
Sam Greening contributed a useful 30 before falling to the spin of Jack Bartlett but thereafter the innings subsided to ‘Nelson’ (111) in the 33rd over.
Wilkinson finished with 3-7 and Bartlett ran through the tail to return 3-5.
After the break, Abbotsbury hit back quickly and raised alarm bells to leave the hosts reeling at 25-4 thanks to tight opening bowling from Chas Duerdoth, so often a thorn in the Foxes’ side, and Pankaj Nikale.
Batting serenely at the other end was the reassuring sight of Challis whose outstanding form for the Thirds this season fully merited his elevation to the Seconds and he played a typically classy innings, seeing off the openers before fittingly hitting the winning runs to finish undefeated on 65.
WINTON 303-5 (19pts) beat CATTISTOCK & SYMENE III 209-8 (7pts) by 94 runs
CATTISTOCK & Symene Thirds lost a high-scoring game at Winton by 94 runs yet still registered a useful seven points to leave themselves in fourth position in County Division Five.
