DRIMPTON 2
DRIMPTON booked their place in the Arthur Gage Cup final after coming from behind to beat in-form Pymore 2-1 at St Mary's.
It was Pymore who started the better with some crisp passes and running down the flanks.
The opening goal came around the 20-minute mark when the lively Matt Gore poked beyond Greens’ keeper Oliver Wheatley.
Drimpton responded well with some dangerous balls being played forward, although some lacklustre finishing kept the hosts in the lead going into the break.

The second half saw Drimpton improve with the bulk of possession but the chances were coming and not being taken, a frustrating result seemingly ahead.
However, Drimpton’s persistence was finally rewarded when from a second successive corner the ball dropped to the hard-working Tyler Perrett who smashed the ball home for the all-important equaliser.
This drove Drimpton on and they got the winner a few minutes later when striker Max Dicker chipped the goalkeeper with a lovely finish to reward the Greens’ hard work.
Taking to social media to share his views, Drimpton manager Andy Loudon said: "We got there in the end!
“It looked like it was going to be a disappointing result for us as we wasted numerous chances.
“The second half was much better from us, we looked after the ball better and the hunger was high.
“I always felt that if we could get the one goal that we would go on and win the game as Pymore never really threatened our goal after they took the lead.
“We had a few players carrying knocks so they really deserve the result and now have something to look forward to."
Drimpton will face the winners of Saturday’s other semi-final between South Petherton Reserves and Forton Rangers Reserves.
The final is earmarked for Axminster Town’s Tiger Way ground at a date to be announced.
Players of the match: Tyler Perrett and Josh Cousins.
