RUGBY stars of the future enjoyed a magnificent two days of action at Bridport Rugby Club.
First up came the West Dorset Schools Tag Rugby Festival for Year 5 and 6 pupils in glorious Autumn sunshine.
Eleven schools with over 140 children participated, including a compulsory two girls on the pitch at all times.
The 55 eight-minute matches were refereed by coaches and the older exemplary under-12s, under-13s and under-14s, who did a stalwart job.

St Catherine's were the convincing winners, with Marshwood popping into the runners-up position.
Donated by Morrisons Community Support, a free burger or sausage roll was eagerly consumed by the players after the action.
And then, on Sunday 2nd, two magnificent victories for Bridport juniors in the Fifteen a side D&W Cup games.
Ayo Frazer’s under-14s beat the mighty North Dorset 37-19, while and Pete Dacey’s under-16s beat Weymouth 53-36.
Meanwhile, Bridport's under-15s travelled to Sherborne for their Dorset & Wiltshire Junior Cup tie, despite only a couple of weeks of training since the season started.
Bridport worked tirelessly and led the game right from the whistle.
Both teams had some good challenges and both had to work hard to keep possession but after the first half Bridport were ahead.
Sherborne started strong in the second half but Bridport managed to halt each attack and keep the score in their favour to edge out the hosts 27-22.
Bridport Under-11s welcomed Crewkerne to the Brewery Ground where they had an amazing game and managed to end with an excellent try count in a 22-5 win.
Bridport's Under-14s attended a Tens festival hosted by Bath Rugby which involved many clubs in the Dorset and Wiltshire area.
Although the games were not a win or lose match they received point for each try and were one of the top point-scoring teams in the festival.
There was a narrow defeat for Bridport under-13s who travelled to Swanage with a team of eight players.
The Blues joined forces with some Swanage loan players to create an 11-a-side team, and lost 12-7.
Despite the outcome, the Bridport was immensely proud of how the Bridport players performed and worked with their loan players.

The age range is from Tiny Tots rugby, all the way through to under-16s.
