UPOTTERY 218-8 (8pts) lost to UPLYME & LYME REGIS 259-7 (19pts) by 41 runs
UPLYME & Lyme Regis marched on in Devon League C Division East with a 41-run success over Upottery to continue their perfect start.
On a warm day, Uplyme won the toss and poured on the runs after batting first.
Joe Elsworth (67) chalked up a brisk half-century and shared 100 for the opening wicket with Mark Batey until he was bowled by Rob Tasker (1-44).
Batey (56) and overseas star Anand Abhishek (68) both registered fifties after the loss of Tyler Wellman (7), with Sam Farrow (26) also chipping in as Uplyme set 260 to win.

In defence of their total, Uplyme bowled tidily as Elsworth (0-19) went unrewarded off eight overs.
Nabi Temori (1-33) bowled Tasker and Jack Lamb-Wilson (1-29) removed Adam Pulman (25) as Uplyme contained the hosts.
However, a 99-run stand between James Mitcham (73) and Matt Broom (34) gave new life to the contest.
Uplyme responded by taking 5-39, halting the Upottery charge as captain Farrow (4-47) led by example.
It meant Upottery were 184-7 late on and could not stage a fightback, eventually losing by 41 runs.
Uplyme host fellow promoted side Alphington & Countess Wear on Saturday (1.30pm).
