DRIMPTON 1
CHARMOUTH 1
DRIMPTON and Charmouth had to settle with one point each as the Perry Street & District League Division Two title race hots up.
Drimpton now need just one point from their final two games to take the title.
Drimpton enjoyed the only major chance of the first half when Adam Chant fired over from Adam Cody-Boutcher’s flick-on.
Charmouth had a golden opportunity in the second half of their own after a good cross which saw a first-time volley go over the bar.

Drimpton then got a bit of control of the game and the opening goal came from Frank Symonds who chased down a through ball which Charmouth’s ‘keeper came out for but then got caught in no man’s land, ultimately giving Symonds the time to pick out a perfectly-lobbed finish.
In a game of few chances, Charmouth equalised thanks to a stunning long-range strike from Mark Vaughan, running upfield from centre-back.
The equaliser took the sting out of the game and both teams finished an even match with a point apiece.
Greens’ manager Andy Loudon said: “On another day if we took our chances we’d have come away with all three points but I’m happy with one. We know we only need one more to confirm ourselves as champions.”
