BRIDPORT'S Harry Stewart competed in the ASA South West Regional Summer Championships, after achieving qualification times for nine events at the County Championships.
The 13-year-old qualified to compete across all four disciplines, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle.
The championships see the top-ranked swimmers from across the region compete over two weekends at Hengrove in Bristol and at Millfield School in Somerset.
Stewart had an extremely successful championships, achieving personal bests in all his swims and secured himself a place in the 50m breaststroke final, where he finished sixth overall, in a time of 35.66 seconds.
Stewart started swimming lessons at the Bridport Leisure Centre when he was five years old. He progressed to join the Bridport Barracudas Swimming Club where he continues to train.
As a result of his time in the final, Stewart is now ranked 31st nationally for the 50m breaststroke.
