SIR John Colfox runners stole the show in the first round of the English Schools Cup.
Both the junior boys and girls won their respective team competitions with some excellent individual performances to boot.
Tom Crabtree was the first Colfox athlete home in the boys’ race, closely followed by James Cox, Manny Cox (Year 7) and Thaisen Chant.
The team triumphed with an aggregate score of 31 points, nine better than Bournemouth Collegiate School.
Olivia Willmore came third in the girls’ race, fellow Year 7 pupil Dulcie Gatehouse was fifth, and Sydney March sixth.
A massive 20 points separated them from second-placed Parkstone Grammar School in the final standings.
In the Inter-Boys’ event, Colfox earned a respectable third place while in the girls’ equivalent the Bridport youngsters had to settle for sixth.
