Carole Brown regained the Joan Holt Ex-Lady Captain’s Cup with 33 points on countback from Julie Woodroffe. Former captains Joan Holt, Joan Robinson, Liz Watts, Sandy Rees, Barbara Cooper, Peggy Griggs, Kath Joslin and present captain Di Loving, plus eight others, played for the cup over 16 holes.

Loving said: “The day was glorious and everyone enjoyed an excellent meal.

“It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with the former captains who no longer play at Bridport.”

A moment was taken before the meal to remember two captains who have passed away this year – Marjorie Stones and Mary Rogers.
