After training as a British Army medic, Molly Dawes is called up for service in Afghanistan. Leaving behind a world of pubs and clubs, she must face a new reality thousands of miles from home.

Getting off to a bad start with platoon leader Captain James (Ben Aldridge) and an encounter with ‘Smurf’ (Iwan Rheon), a face from the past she’d rather forget, Molly soon becomes the target of her fellow recruit’s humour.

A heroic act that saves a life, earns Molly a new level of respect, but she is about to learn that few can be trusted and every opportunity comes with a price that could cost lives.
